Sometimes the best thing to do when you aren't happy with what is available, is to just take the bull by the horns, and make what you want yourself. Which is precisely what Ash'rak did here. Unsatisfied with the Matrix screen that was submitted here, Ash'rak decided to create his own. Since he commented on the competition in his readme, I feel it necessary to compare.The Matrix start up screen that Ash'rak refers to kept his design simple, even minimalistic. With as busy as Ash'rak's background is on his start up screen, the font used for the words 'Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast' almost disappears in the code. Hp all in one beats audio sim card. I do like how he reskinned the buttons, and I also like that he kept a bit of the Star Wars feel with the 'Star Wars' text on top.

However, there's just something about this start up screen that seems dull to me. Overall I'd say it's a decent start up screen, though I don't see a start up screen worth downloading without new sounds, buttons reskinned and having a great design.
